Anannya Das Banerjee, Lead & Research head for the India program at the University of California, Davis.
Anannya is the Lead & Research head for the India and Global South Clean Transportation and Energy Program, University of California, Davis. She works closely with the institute in developing programs, providing research direction, and driving engagement on clean transport and energy policies. At the institute, her work primarily focusses on the zero-emission transport supply chain, including critical minerals.
Prior to this, Anannya worked as a Program Manager for the leading advocacy-based research organization Centre for Science and Environment and a subject expert for the ‘Down to Earth Magazine’. During this time, she was part of strategy group and contributed to driving sustainable transport policy reforms through the Honorable ‘Supreme court (SC) of India’, and supported work for Commission for Air Quality Management. In further past she has also worked for the World Resources Institute (WRI-India), ICRA Management, Delhi Metro rail Corporation (DMRC) and the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). Amongst many others, she contributed to land regulations, urban transport policies, ‘clean transport action plans’ under ambit of Clean Air plans for cities, electric vehicle policies and more.
She has a background in City planning & Transport policies and Management.
